How It Works

What happens between a brief and a charge.

An advertiser is billed only after an identity-checked professional has read the brief, passed a quiz on it, and a person has reviewed the result. This is the sequence, in order, with what each step actually checks — and what it does not.

Marcus Hale, SEO & Content, Nexertise · Published October 6, 2026 · Checked against the production codebase and the Iron Dome verification stack.

Why a verification sequence, instead of a dashboard metric

Independent measurement puts invalid traffic at 19.88% of LinkedIn paid traffic and 12.79% of X paid traffic (Lunio, 2026), and 41.89% of programmatic in-app impressions (fraud0, 2025) — with Lunio putting the annual cost at $63B (2026). A click count or an impression count cannot tell an advertiser which of those were real. Nexertise’s answer is not a bigger dashboard number; it is a sequence of checks that has to complete, in order, before anyone is paid and before any advertiser balance moves.

The eight checks, in the order they run

  1. 01

A real identity, before anyone can earn

Every professional who earns on Nexertise has passed Stripe Identity: a government-issued photo ID plus a live selfie, checked before their first paid engagement. Signing up and posting is free and unverified; getting paid is not.

  2. 02

A device biometric check, every time

Before the comprehension quiz on each engagement, the professional confirms a biometric check — a device passkey such as Touch ID, Face ID or Windows Hello. The biometric data itself never leaves the device; Nexertise only receives the device’s pass or fail.

  3. 03

A reading-time gate before the quiz unlocks

The brief has to be read for at least 25 seconds, with focus-lock on the tab, before the comprehension quiz becomes available. That is a requirement the product enforces at the point of reading, not a measurement Nexertise publishes about any individual submission.

  4. 04

A 3-question comprehension quiz, no partial credit

Three questions on the specific brief, with a passing bar that means all three have to be right. Missing any one locks the professional out of that engagement for 24 hours and pays nothing.

  5. 05

Three written answers, each 20 to 100 words

Passing the quiz unlocks three short-answer prompts about the brief. Each answer has to be between 20 and 100 words — enforced on the server, not only in the browser — before the submission can go anywhere.

  6. 06

Published publicly, under the professional’s name

Once approved, the written feedback is posted to NexFeed as a public "NexAd Report" carrying the professional’s name. Advertisers see the feedback, the tier and the declared industry; they do not get the professional’s name or email privately — only what is already public on the report.

  7. 07

A person reviews every submission before anyone is charged

Every engagement — not a sample, not the flagged ones — is reviewed by a person before the advertiser’s balance is charged. The only turnaround Nexertise promises is review within 24 hours.

  8. 08

Rejected means refunded, not just unpaid

A submission a reviewer rejects pays the professional nothing, and the budget unit it would have spent returns to the advertiser’s balance rather than being consumed. An advertiser is never charged for engagement a person has not reviewed and approved.

What this does not claim

Nexertise does not claim zero bots or zero fake clicks as a count it publishes, and it does not claim any check is unbeatable. What it claims is narrower and checkable: every earning professional has passed a government ID and selfie check, and an advertiser is charged only for an engagement a person has reviewed and approved. The product also does not verify a professional’s job title or role — that field is self-entered — and campaigns target by industry and reputation tier, not by job title, role or employer.

Professionals who verify a work email at an approved employer domain unlock a higher pay floor ($10.50 instead of $3.50 per engagement) and a “Verified Professional at {Company}” badge; that re-verifies every six months and is optional, on top of the identity check every earning professional already has. For the full, layer-by-layer defense stack — eighteen layers, named — see the Iron Dome dossier.

See it from either side

Read a brief and get paid for an honest answer, or run a campaign whose engagement budget is spent only on engagement a person has checked. Featured placement is a separate option at $35 a day.
